THE LORD OF THE RINGS. WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM

New Line Cinema anime “The Lord of the Rings. War of the Rohirrims” takes the viewer back to J.R.R. To the epic world of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy based on Tolkien's books. The Lord of the Rings movie. War of the Rohirrim takes place 183 years before the events of the original trilogy and tells the story of the fate of the legendary king of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand. When the wily and ruthless Dunlending lord Wulf seeks revenge for his father's death with a surprise attack, Helm and his people are forced to defend themselves in the ancient fortress of Hornburg, later known as Helm's Deep. In a desperate situation, Helm's daughter Héra must find the strength to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy bent on their destruction. Kamiyama directed the film, based on the story by the team of writers of the "Lord of the Rings" and "The Dwarf" trilogies. The producers are Oscar-winner Philippa Boyens and Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou, who, in addition to many animated projects, also collaborated on the “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” series. Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, Sam Register, Carolyn Blackwood and Toby Emmerich are executive producers. Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, authors of the story based on J.R.R Tolkien's characters, co-wrote the screenplay with Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou. The creative team also included Oscar winners Alan Lee and Richard Taylor, who worked in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and the acclaimed Tolkien illustrator John Howe. Under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama (TV series “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” and “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”), the anime characters were voiced by talented actors - Helm Hammerhand, the mighty king of Rohan, Brian Cox (“The Heirs”), his daughter Héra Gaia Wise (“A Walk in the Woods”) and Wulfile Luke Pasqualino (“Snowpiercer”). Miranda Otto, who gave an unforgettable and award-winning performance in The Lord of the Rings, once again plays Éowyn, this time as the narrator of the story.
