Claudia Cardinale
In April, we celebrate the contribution of Italian screen legend Claudia Cardinale (15 April 1938 – 23 September 2025) to world cinema. Cardinale was an internationally acclaimed actress who worked with many leading directors, including Luchino Visconti, Federico Fellini, Blake Edwards, Sergio Leone, and Werner Herzog. “I have lived through more than 150 lives, been a prostitute, a saint, a romantic, every kind of woman, and it has been a wonderful opportunity to transform myself,” she once said, reflecting on her career. The five-film programme highlights some of the most remarkable works from her filmography, especially enjoyable on the big screen.
The programme is supported by the Embassy of Italy in Estonia and the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
All films will be screened in their original language with Estonian subtitles.
