28 Trilogy

This summer sees the release of the third film in Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s cult zombie apocalypse franchise, 28 Years Later. To celebrate, Sõprus will screen the entire trilogy on July 27 — including the original 28 Days Later starring Cillian Murphy and the sequel 28 Weeks Later.

Tartuff Festival

From August 4 to 9, Tartu hosts the annual open-air festival of love-themed films — Tartuff. Some screenings take place right on Town Hall Square, others at Elektriteater cinema. A few special screenings will also be held in Tallinn’s Telliskivi Outdoor Cinema. This year’s program includes new festival hits, classic retrospectives, director Q&As, and more.
