If we look for our own thing in Estonian culture, then perhaps it is archaic, rustic, pagan Ugrian science fiction, which, when it collided with the Saxon world, was transformed into something special in the crooked mirror of Juniper Germany. Just as Rainer Sarnet's "November" turns into something else, which runs, chest in front, against Andrus Kiviräha's "Rehepappi" so that currant juice splashes. Something delicious and tragic is born from the symbiosis. Romantic for sure. And let's not even talk about the picture, because for the sake of such a beautiful film, the makers had to sign a contract with some tail and horns.

"November" is a fantasy film based on Andrus Kivirähki's beloved novel "Rehepapp or November". "November", directed by Rainer Sarnet, can be described as a fairy tale film for adults, where black humor and romantic love come together. The action of the film takes place in a pagan Estonian village, where the greedy and stupid villagers deal with the Plague, the Old Pagan and the Krattis. The protagonist of the story is a young farm girl Liina (Rea Lest), who is hopelessly in love with the village boy Hansu (Jörgen Liik). However, Hans has caught the eye of a beautiful manor lady (Jette Loona Hermanis). In addition, Liina's father (Arvo Kukumägi) demands that the girl marry Endli (Sepa Tom) with foul language...
