A Greyhound of a Girl

Mary Ìunapuu, an 11-year-old smart girl, dreams of becoming a master chef. His grandmother gives him her ancient recipe book and encourages him to continue the family's culinary traditions. When Grandma Ene suddenly ends up in the hospital, Mary is devastated. Sad and broken, she visits Enet regularly and brings her homemade food. However, after one visit, he meets the young and friendly Anna-Maria and falls for her. But Anna-Maria keeps disappearing... and even more strangely, she keeps repeating that she has a very important message for Mary's grandmother. When Mary's mother finds out about her daughter's new friend, she cannot help but wonder about Anna-Maria's special name, because her grandmother had the same name. Little by little, the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Mary and her mother get a shock when they realize that Anna-Maria is actually a...ghost! Mary drives with her mother and Anna-Maria to the hospital to pick up her grandmother. From there, they head for their last trip together to their childhood home. While on the road, the women's conversation moves along memories and reminiscences. This is how they prepare them for a final farewell, which is warm, because in it is the knowledge that life is sure to be wonderful and often truly mysterious - and if you're lucky - full of love and traditions passed down from generation to generation.
