THE PALACE

Old master Polanski's (90s) probably the last film is a pure end-of-the-year comedy. The action of the story takes place in the Swiss luxury hotel "Palee", where millionaires and all kinds of interesting people from different corners of the world gather to see off the long-awaited New Year's Eve. A fun-filled night full of antics and whims of the outlaws awaits. Polanski brought together the true masters of their field for filming. The script was written in collaboration with Polish directors Jerzy Skolimowski and Ewa Piaskowska. The music for the film was written by the well-known French composer, Oscar-winner Alexandre Desplat, whose work creates an atmosphere that plays just right for the song. And to top it all off, the film features an incredible ensemble of actors, such as Oliver Masucci, John Cleese, Mickey Rourke, Fanny Ardant, Aleksandr Petrov and others. Thanks to sharp humor and excellent actors, the film creates the ideal festive-chaotic end-of-year mood. The film premiered in 2023 at the Venice Film Festival.
