New Estonian Anima

Estonian animation needs no introduction on the red carpets of the wide world, unfortunately here in Estonia it does. That's why it's a great pleasure that sometimes someone asks someone the right question at the right moment, and from this the opportunity to see almost all the Estonian animated films released this year together in a common row. This line is very motley, each one proudly has its own face and act. Foreign names are also among us: time and again it happens that some graduate of EKA's animation international master's degree does not want to move from our warm animation family, or always finds a way back. We all have winding and long paths. As are our characters. Whatever the material is at the moment - porcelain, pixels, classic animated film dolls, plasticine, sand, lines, flesh and bone filmmakers - we all have an animus, a soul that carries us forward.
