Bad Hair Friday
Vasaku jala reede
Run Time
01:36
Beer, a party and beautiful girls are what three friends have in mind when they meet at the bus station on a perfectly normal Friday morning. Little do the women know that 25 hours later, they are involved in a violent chain of events where the number of corpses is increasing every moment. With the support of a mysterious sports bag and a 70-year-old pistol, the film weaves together 8 different stories, through which a large number of colorful characters move: two criminals who quote Nietzsche, a World War II veteran who tries to improve the world in the style of Clint Eastwood, drug addicts who have lost their sense of reality, one the child of rich parents, who has a very complicated relationship with his father and a young attractive stepmother, and 5 young women who are all trying to find their place in life. There's also a romantic love triangle - but like many other things in this story, it's a bit more complicated chain of relationships than anyone might have thought at first!
Andres Kõpper and Arun Tamm, the youngest Estonian directors, directed the crime film filled with fast-paced music and dark humor. Being part of a generation of young filmmakers, they have given themselves a completely free hand when it comes to taboos when it comes to the topics covered in the film - be it sex, violence, drugs or even the final fate of each character.
